SHIRT:EVIL TWIN@ASOS JEANS:ASDA SANDALS:EVANS VEST:H&M SUNGLASSES:NEW LOOK

This is what i wore on my actual day of birth on Wednesday. I had a very, very chilled out day but it was no less lovely and big thanks go out to the people who made it so :)
I'm very much in love with this shirt at the moment because it stops me getting fried by the sun but doesn't make me stupidly hot (who loves sheer, i do!!). These jeans were a gamble though, i love pastels but mostly on other people or in accessory form so i was a bit nervous buying them, i love them now though so i guess they just needed gothing up a bit!

Just because i can, here are some other photos from the day:

I asked my flatmate to take OOTD pictures and she started with snapping me trying to get up. Nice!

Here's me and the flat mate responsible, 'scuse my eye, it was trés sunny.

Finally, here's a picture of me cruising round campus on my friends bike: loving life <3

birthday

I turned 21 on Wednesday 23rd May.
21.
WaahhhhaaatttttT?

instead of rambling on and on about time flying and growing up and all of that. I'm just going to post pictures from the party i had last friday, which was glitter themed. (I had glitter tequila jelly shots and a pint of glitter to glitter bomb people with and glittery cake and glitter nails!!!) It was beautiful. I just typed the word glitter SO much! :)

I think the reason why twentysomethings are so fixated on age is because we feel a pressure to be a certain way at 23, at 25, at 29. There are all of these invisible deadlines with our careers and with love and drinking and drugs. I can’t do coke at 25. I need to be in a LTR at 27. I can’t vomit from drinking at 26. I just can’t! We feel so much guilt for essentially acting our age and making mistakes. We’re obsessed with this idea of being domesticated and having our shit together. It’s kind of sad actually because I don’t think we ever fully get a chance to enjoy our youth. We’re so concerned about doing things “the right way” that we lose any sense of pleasure in doing things the wrong way. Youth may be truly wasted on the young.

I just thought i'd share a few uni night out outfits. The pictures are fairly typical university night out pictures and i'm not trying to be all like "ooooh look at me and all my alcohol/ciggies/awesomeness" but that is a part of my lifestyle so, yeah, hope no one is too offended :)

It's all coming to a close here now, lots of people have finished everything and moved out, i can hear suitcase wheels outside my window as we speak! I however still have two assessments, so no 3 week end of freshers binges for me! I get home on June 10th but i have no idea what i am doing with my summer yet. I've applied for a lot of residential jobs working with kids so i could be living anywhere, wish me luck with those pleeaassseeee :)

I am dreadfully sorry posts have been so sparse but it has been quite difficult, much more so than i anticipated, to keep this little gem updated. I'm going to work harder at it over the summer, time allowing, and hopefully maintain a once a week ritual next uni year :)

I hope all readers are well and happy and beautiful and things. Big Love <3

And We Went Dancing

SHIRT:EVIL TWIN@ASOS DRESS:ASOS SHOES:NEW LOOK

As the title suggests i wore this for a night out, on Thursday. I'd bought the shoes that day (i am obsessed with turquoise right now!) and i threw this all together from the few bits of clothing i have that aren't joggers, t-shirts and leggings. If there is one thing i hate about uni life it is the fact that all my stuff is in two places and the clothes i always want to wear are never with me! But i guess i did alright with this one :)
I look so lost in the picture though, i am totally blaming the booze!
Speaking of booze, i don't remember many of the evening's minor details but i do remember at least 3 people makiing Beetlejuice comments RE my shirt, so i was right to name my other post about this item of clothing what i did then!

It's back to uni for me this weekend and straight into a metric butt load of work and deadlines so god knows when I'll be blogging again. It's shitty i know but, well, it's just shitty! I do have lots of stuff i want to write about though so i will try desperately to find the time!!!

Walking The Dog

TOP:DOROTHY PERKINS SKIRT:NEW LOOK CARDI:EVANS SHOES:VANS BELT:GIFT

He's not my dog, but if the sun is out and the bestie says "Wanna walk John?" i never say no :)

This skirt is one f the bargains i found on Sunday, £5 as far as i'm concerned is pretty dang fine. Plus it has pastel colours in the print so helps me stay bang on trend (not that trends really bother me but i do like the pastels thing).
My hair is doing some cray stuff in these photos, not sure what is going on to be honest but never mind, i only noticed once i got in the car to go the pub so i was wandering around all afternoon looking rather silly! I had such a lovely day though, just sunshine and beautiful places with one awesome person. It is good to be home!

On a random but not so random note, i got these Vans at least 5 years ago and they're starting to fall apart. I know they're super popular now but i was wondering if anyone knew whether the quality is the same? Any long term Vans Fans out there? I just don't want to splash the cash to be disappointed. Answers on postcards :)
